Wolves have accepted a bid from Aston Villa for centre-back Kortney Hause, according to the Sun.

The newspaper claims that Hause, 23, will now have to complete a medical and agree personal terms with the Villains before wrapping up a move across the West Midlands.

It is understood that Wolves will add a sell-on clause into the deal that takes Hause to Villa Park because the 6ft 3 (transfermarkt) defender is highly-regarded at Molineux.

Good move for Aston Villa?

Dean Smith needs to add to his defence in the January transfer window with Villa conceding way too many goals this season.

Hause is someone who has always been highly-rated at Wolves but has never really broken into the first team to play on a regular basis.

He is well down the pecking order at the Premier League club, but that doesn’t mean that he will be a bad signing because the left-footed colossus will be a solid signing for any top Championship side.

Likely to happen?

It would be a massive shock if Hause failed to agree personal terms or pass a medical with Aston Villa.

He is out of the picture at Wolves and he will know that he needs first team football. Plus, he probably won’t even have to relocate to join the Villains.
