West Brom have not given up hope on re-signing Harvey Barnes from Leicester after the Premier League club recalled the 21-year-old from his loan spell at The Hawthorns earlier this month, according to the Mirror.

The newspaper claims that there is a feeling among Leicester’s management team that the England Under-21 international may have been recalled too soon, despite him forcing an own goal in the 4-3 defeat to Wolves last week.

Barnes became an instant fan favourite at The Hawthorns.

He scored nine goals and supplied eight assists in 28 appearances across all competitions for the Baggies before the Foxes called him back.

Good move for West Brom?

If Barnes returned to The Hawthorns for the rest of the season then West Brom are going up.

The 21-year-old was one of the best players in the Championship during the first-half of the season and Albion are yet to replace him since Leicester recalled the dazzling wide-man.

With Bakary Sako reportedly heading to Crystal Palace, Barnes is needed more than ever.

Baggies fans will be partying on the streets if this potential U-turn actually happened.

Likely to happen?

Leicester may still feel as though Barnes has something to offer them in the second-half of the season, but there is definitely the chance that they could send him back to West Brom on loan.

Darren Moore will be pushing for it and Claude Puel could see that the 21-year-old is half a season away from being good enough for his side.
