Swansea fans appear reigned to losing winger Daniel James as the long-running transfer saga with Leeds ramped up on Monday.

First Swansea forward Oli McBurnie deleted a tweet that he posted saying “He’s not going anywhere”, before the Sun’s transfer expert Alan Nixon said that Leeds were set to make a “proper bid”.

This was then followed by Swansea manager Graham Potter confirming that the two clubs were in talks, and that they would likely go on until deadline day.

Finally, the Sun reported that Leeds had tabled a bid worth a total of £10m, including add-ons.

This hasn’t left the Swansea fans feeling at all optimistic about hanging onto their player and they weren’t feeling any better after a fan said that he’d heard from a reasonably reliable source that James to Leeds was on.

He said he hoped the money would be used to buy 16,000 white flags so the fans could emulate the owners.

This led to Swansea fans flocking onto Twitter where they let their anger show. Some fans said they wouldn’t renew their season tickets if he was sold, while another said there “will be riots tomorrow night” if he is sold.
