Phil Hay has delivered a major fitness boost to Leeds fans ahead of the huge Championship clash against Norwich on Saturday.

Izzy Brown, Barry Douglas and Stuart Dallas are all set to appear for the Under-23s at Thorp Arch this afternoon.

Dallas hasn’t played since the beginning of December while Douglas has missed the last three games.

Brown is set to continue his rehabilitation in today’s game, but the Norwich game could come too soon for him.

The Leeds injury list is starting to look a lot better, just at the right time. Leeds have got three absolutely crucial Championship games coming up, against Norwich on Saturday, and then against Middlesbrough and Swansea. Izzy Brown might not make the Norwich clash but he is slated to return in mid-February and could make the other two. If Barry Douglas comes through the game okay today then he could slot straight back into the team against Norwich. Dallas had been out for longer and it will depend on his fitness and how he plays in the Under-23s today. Leeds have coped with the injuries amazingly. The win on Saturday was massive, given what happened to their nearest rivals. It’s given Leeds some breathing room at the top and makes them overwhelming favourites to clinch an automatic promotion slot. These returning players will help the cause, while Leeds are still trying to bring in Swansea winger Daniel James before the end of the January transfer window. That looks like going all the way to the wire with Swansea holding out for a big fee.
