COMMENTARY
Rangers are blessed with a vast amount of quality in the middle of the park – Steven Davis’ arrival this month only adding to Steven Gerrard’s options – and many fans might have forgotten that Grraham Dorrans has been missing for much of the campaign. However, the veteran star, who has seen his season blighted by injury, was pictured making his return to first team training as he steps up his recovery efforts and the behind-the-scenes sighting has had much of the Ibrox faithful delighted on Twitter. He might not have made the desired impact at Rangers so far but there is no doubting how much of an impact his quality and experience could have in the hunt for success. He has a battle to return to the first team, with a number of names currently ahead of him in the pecking order, but impressing on the training ground will give Gerrard no option but to bring him into the fray.
