COMMENTARY
Olivier Ntcham might have 30 appearances for Celtic this season but it appears as though the Parkhead faithful are ready to bid him farewell if the transfer report coming from the Scottish Sun is true. The newspaper state that Portuguese heavyweights Porto are ready to launch a fresh bid for the Frenchman after missing out in the summer and are willing to offer up Chancel Mbemba, who left Newcastle United in the summer of 2018 for a fee said to be in the region of £8million, as a makeweight for the deal. It seems as though many of the Hoops supporters believe that a new centre back is much more of a priority than keeping one of their star midfielders and with the amount of options already in the centre of the pitch, £15million and a player is a deal not to be scoffed at in any way, shape or form. Mbemba might not have captured the hearts of the Toon Army at Newcastle but he is obviously a competent defender and would help bolster a paper thin back line at Celtic Park were he to make the move to Glasgow.
This is Futbol has gathered a selection of the supporters’ tweets:
A would sell him if it was right enough that Mbemba was involved in the deal too.

I agree but feel 14m with mbemba is too good to turn down, surely able to invest that money back into the playing staff, and get someone more committed than ntcham? HH ?
