OPINION

Leeds have a crucial Championship game coming up on Friday night and many fans have heard a rumour that Pablo Hernandez has picked up a knock and is rated at 50/50 for the game.

We have to stress that these are rumours at the moment and that nothing has been confirmed either by the club or by reliable journalists such as Phil Hay.

However, the last time this happened, it was regarding Patrick Bamford ahead of the Aston Villa game, and the rumours turned out to be true with the striker picking up an injury in training.

If there is something in it, it would be a major blow for Leeds and would leave fans thinking that they’re cursed.

Hernandez has been arguably the best Leeds player this season and following the departure of Samu Saiz las year, he’s moved into the vital role of playmaker. Leeds need all the bodies they can get for Friday’s game and losing Hernandez would leave them at a very real risk of losing four games in a row.

One fans said that it was just “two hours til we find out Pablo out for a month” which is a very pessimistic view. He’s referring to the Leeds pre-match press conference, which takes place at 1pm today from Thorp Arch. We’re expecting to get clarification from Marcelo Bielsa on injury and team news then.

Here are the best reactions from concerned Leeds fans on Twitter:
