OPINION
Adama Traore has been in and out of the Wolves side this season, but did little to advance his hopes of playing more regularly with his performance on Saturday. The blisteringly quick winger would have had high hopes of terrorising League One opposition. But, instead, Traore stunk the place out for much of the afternoon as an initially rotten Wolves came from behind to draw 2-2 away to Shrewsbury Town, to avoid being dumped out of the FA Cup at the fourth round stage. A goal after 75 minutes from substitute Raul Jimenez gave hope of a late comeback, and Wolves pulled level at the death through Matt Doherty. Traore had by then been restored to his favourite position out wide and he laid on the equaliser through good work. But that was not enough to persuade his many critics that he should get a more regular starting role under Nuno Espirito Santo. They hammered him for his wastefulness, and that was totally understandable.

Saiss, Giles (sorry!), MGW, Costa haven’t turned up. Adama still a headless chicken.

Costa, Traore, MGW offered nothing. First two I would call woeful. Doc, Neves and Dendoncker only ones looking to make something happen. Very poor. #wwfc

What have we learned today? Nothing new. Still the case that Costa, Traore and MGW are the weak links in this squad
