West Ham United are weighing up a big-money bid for Torino striker Andrea Belotti, according to Tuttosport.

The Italian sports newspaper report that the Hammers have been in talks with an intermediary over a potential deal for the Italy international as they look to strengthen their attack, with Marko Arnautovic also possibly leaving in the coming days.

Tuttosport claim that West Ham have been attempting to gauge the possibility of a deal taking place for Belotti, 25, but the signs are not looking promising with Torino unlikely to accept even a bid worth £39million.

Good move for West Ham?

Yes.

Belotti is a classy striker with a good record in Serie A with Torino, having scored 62 goals in 131 appearances for the Turin-based club.

With Arnautovic potentially leaving, and the club looking like they want to strengthen in attack anyway, the Italy international could be a good option.

However, it looks like this is a deal which would cost them upwards of £50million, and that is a hefty price which they must be sure of before splashing out.

Likely to happen?

No.

Torino are obviously not keen on allowing their star player to leave at this point in the season, and Belotti does not look to be ready to leave at the moment either.

Furthermore, the Hammers are known to be hot on the trail of Celta Vigo star Maxi Gomez, who looks to be their number one striker target this month.
