OPINION
Pedro Obiang returned to the West Ham starting lineup to face Brighton on Wednesday evening, but the Spanish enforcer did not get off to the best of starts in the first half, which ended 0-0. Obiang misplaced several passes in the middle of the park for the Hammers, who struggled to string together many attacks of note. Obiang replaced Mark Noble in the centre after a horrific performance from the skipper against Burnley last time out, but as one fan points out below, many will no doubt be wishing he was playing instead. It seems as though young star Declan Rice is the only Irons midfielder guaranteed to play this season, with the other players in the squad being rotated by Pellegrini, who is yet to work out his best combination in that area. Obiang in particular has struggled to get going this season amid some injury issues, and the negative reaction to his first-half display below illustrates his toils.

Awful. Playing with 8 1/2 men. Obiang invisible, Arnie offering little, Carroll less.
