Real Betis have made an offer to take Tottenham attacker Vincent Janssen on loan, according to Sky Sports.

The broadcaster’s live transfer blog (14:11) claims that Spurs are in talks with the Spanish side regarding the 24-year-old forward and that their current offer is one that would see him move on loan and Betis have an option to buy him.

Sky Sports report that Spurs value Janssen as being worth £15million and the broadcaster don’t state whether they’d be open to a loan-to-buy deal.

Good move for Tottenham?

Yes.

Janssen hasn’t ever excelled at the London club ever since joining and has basically no chance of featuring under Mauricio Pochettino this season.

It’s best for both Spurs and the player that he finds a club to join before the January transfer window shuts and given his form while with the Londoners,  a loan-to-buy deal maybe the best offer they get.

While Spurs should be trying to get players through the door due to their squad looking a little thin, by all accounts they can afford to let Janssen go before getting their potential signings across the line.

Likely to happen?

With talks ongoing then surely Janssen is destined to join Real Betis shortly as Spurs are likely to accept their offer considering the forward’s status at the club.

Spurs may value the attacker as being worth £15million but it’s hard to imagine anyone stumping up that sort of cash for him, which will no doubt force the Premier League side to accept Real Betis’ current offer.

Also Janssen is likely to jump at the chance to play Real Betis as the 24-year-old is no doubt aware that he needs to get his career back on track with regular football.
