It is no surprise in the slightest that these Newcastle fans are absolutely fuming that Jordan Lukaku failed his medical at the club and that the deal is now off according to Chronicle reporter Lee Ryder. Their hopes of getting a left-back in this current window are slowly diminishing by the minute if this news is anything to go by. One fan compared the Magpies to a Sunday League team whilst many branded the club an “absolute joke”. Despite the fact that they could not risk taking on a player who had failed their medical, the fans are still blaming the club for the deal not going through, but you cannot really blame them. The club have not signed anyone in this window so far, and it looked as though Lukaku was going to be their first one. Rafa Benitez will now need to look elsewhere to get the club a left-back, but the hopes of bringing in a quality one are now hanging by a thread.
