OPINION
Alexis Sanchez made his long-awaited return to the Manchester United starting XI in their 2-0 FA Cup win against Reading today. But a section of supporters were distinctly unimpressed with the performance of the attacker even though he set up the second goal for Romelu Lukaku, his second assist in successive matches after making his comeback. Sanchez certainly put the effort in versus the Championship side, but his contribution was mixed and many fans were very critical when he limped off with 26 minutes remaining with what appeared to be a hamstring injury. Given that the Chilean has only just returned after a hamstring problem sidelined him for over a month, many are questioning whether the forward’s legs have gone. When he was at his peak Arsenal, Sanchez barely missed a game. At United, his performances have been beyond ban, and his fitness fitful. Little wonder supporters are wondering whether he can ever again be the player they admired so much when he was having defenders for breakfast at Emirates Stadium.

Alexis Sanchez s such a fraud. Dude has been average since we signed him. A couple of poor games here and there coupled with injury of late.
