Nathaniel Clyne could lead a triple Liverpool exodus of international stars this month, according to the Times.

The newspaper claim the right-back, 27, is one of three first-teamers who may head through Anfield exit door along with fellow England international Dominic Solanke and Belgium forward Divock Origi.

The Times report the trio are the most likely departures from Liverpool as they look to secure regular game time after slipping down the pecking order under Jurgen Klopp.

OPINION

Clyne and Origi have both made unexpected and successful comebacks to the Liverpool team in the last month but have subsequently found themselves back on the fringes, proof of the calibre of Klopp’s squad and the immense competition for starting roles. Both players would have good chances of being the main men at two-thirds of Premier League clubs and are likely to leave if Liverpool’s asking price for permanent deals can be met. As for Solanke, he is more likely to head out on loan rather than permanently, as the Merseysiders’ staff believe the one-time England international is bursting with potential and has time on his side to make it at his parent club. Speculation is intensifying that the 21-year-old will join Crystal Palace for the remainder of the campaign. If ex-Reds boss Roy Hodgson can help accelerate Solanke’s development, that could provide as big a boost for his old club as Palace’s recent shock defeat at Manchester City.
