Millwall knocked Everton out of the FA Cup on Saturday by defeating them 3-2 and that left lots of Toffees fans waving goodbye to manager Marco Silva on social media. Some politely just posted the wave emoji to share they thought that the thought the manager’s time at Goodison Park was up while others directly called for action by urging him to go. Given that the FA Cup was a competition that Everton were likely dreaming of going far in, it’s easy to see why supporters are so convinced that Silva’s reign is nearly over. The prestigious trophy should have been something the Toffees were targeting getting their hands on as unlike last season they are not in the Premier League relegation battle. Time will only tell if Silva is given his marching orders following the defeat to Millwall, but if he isn’t now, then you fear the next poor result could be the one to seal his fate.
