Celtic must get pulses racing by signing Everton forward Oumar Niasse in January as he is reportedly available to take on loan.

According to TEAMtalk Marco Silva would be happy to keep a hold of the 28-year-old attacker as he is a fan but that he is willing to let him go on a temporary basis as the player is looking to be playing regular football.

The football outlet claim that Cardiff City have approached the Toffees about signing Niasse but Brendan Rodgers should get involved to spoil their pursuit as the Toffees forward could significantly boost his side’s firepower.

The Premier League attacker, who earns £55,000-a-week (Source: Spotrac), has only made seven appearances across all competitions for the Toffees this season and it’s easy to believe that the player is chomping at the bit to feature for a club regularly.

Niasse does have an eye for goal, shown by the fact he scored 12 goals last season despite being used sparingly, and can be a handful for defences.

The 28-year-old is one of those players who gives their all for a side as he constantly runs at defences and tries whatever he can to get himself on the scoresheet and earn a victory for the team.

Given that Rodgers’ could do with improving his attacking options, Niasse is an option that could potentially get tongues wagging and deliver the goals needed to succeed in the second half of the campaign.

It’s easy to imagine the forward being able to hit the back of the net if playing for Celtic as his determination and previous experience suggest he’d get in the right positions in order to convert the chances his creative teammates would likely create for him.

For this reason Niasse’s arrival would get pulses racing at the Hoops as goals will surely follow him, and given that he is apparently on the loan market, Celtic simply have to go in for him.

This is the case especially when you consider how easy Rodgers might be able to persuade him to join as all he clearly wants is an opportunity to feature regularly.
