OGC Nice are reportedly lining up a second bid for Rangers centre-forward Alfredo Morelos, and it is now time for many Gers fans to be worried about their star player.

According to Calcio Mercato, Nice have already seen one bid worth £7.8million rejected by the Light Blues for Morelos, who has been in fantastic form for the Scottish Premiership side this season by scoring 20 goals in 31 appearances across all competitions.

The Italian news outlet also claims that the French club will make a “new attempt” to sign the Colombia international, and it is more than likely going to be a much more serious offer after Mario Balotelli wrapped up his exit from the club to join Ligue 1 rivals Marseille.

Balotelli would have surely been on big-money at Nice, and his exit has most likely freed up funds for Patrick Vieira to lure Morelos away from Ibrox.

Although many Scottish football fans may disagree, Ligue 1 is a much more reputable league than the Premiership and there is a better chance for Morelos to earn more money in France than he does in Scotland.

Moussa Dembele quit Celtic in order to join Lyon in the summer, so why wouldn’t Morelos do the same?

Steven Gerrard has warned Nice that their first bid is too low, claiming that it is disrespectful and the player is potentially worth double it.

However there is now every chance that the French side could come in big for Morelos in their second attempt, and Rangers fans should be very worried about possibly losing the striker before next week’s deadline.
