COMMENTARY
With it being no secret that Leeds United are seeking out a new goalkeeper after seeing Jamal Blackman ruled out for the season, you can understand why so many supporters are drooling at the thought of them signing Fraser Forster. The 6’7″ (source: Transfermarkt) is very much out of favour at Premier League side Southampton and does not look like earning his place in the first team back any time soon, so it is a really savvy suggestion from the fans at Elland Road. If he could be signed up for the rest of the season on loan, Leeds’ defensive problems would be lessened significantly, the former Newcastle and Celtic man a towering presence in the box with a proven record under his belt. He would take some convincing to move to the Championship but with the promise of game time, Bailey Peacock-Farrell having been hit and miss this season, in order to earn himself a permanent move to the Whites or elsewhere it is not out of the realms of reality. Could anything happen? Well, Andrea Radrizzani is known to be active on Twitter and might well be keeping an eye on the supporters’ suggestions.
This is Futbol has gathered a selection of the supporters’ tweets:

Wonder how much it would cost to get Fraser Forster in!! Southampton have changed goalkeeper tonight and he's still not picked!! A big character like that is what we need!! #lufc

Leeds could do worse than to try work a deal out for Fraser Forster, 3rd choice at saints and probably willing to take a pay cut for first team football #lufc
