COMMENTARY
Back in the starting XI against Blackburn Rover, it has not taken West Brom supporters very long to tear into giant defender Kyle Bartley once again. Hammered for his performances early on in the season, he has not managed to improve enough to warrant any sort of compliments coming his way. He was seriously off the pace at Ewood Park, allowing Bradley Dack to find a way to net a second goal and seemingly put the game out of the Baggies’ reach. If this is the sort of display that Darren Moore can come to expect from the 6’4″ powerhouse (source: Transfermarkt) then there is absolutely no way he should be featuring on a regular basis. The imminent arrival of Mason Holgate on loan from Everton should help bolster the manager’s options at the heart of the defence and Bartley is surely going to be the man standing first in the firing line after another shocking display.
