OPINION
West Bromwich Albion winger Bakary Sako secured a return to Crystal Palace on Sunday, as per the Baggies’ official Twitter account. It never quite worked out for Sako at West Brom and he ultimately leaves the club mere months after signing up at the Hawthorns. He has struggled for game time and has failed to produce consistent performances when he has been in the team so it’s perhaps no surprise to see him leave. The supporters don’t seem too upset about it either. It seems like a slightly strange move for Palace, though. The Eagles obviously see him as someone who can come in and do a job over the second half of the season, but he’s barely been getting games for West Brom in the Championship let alone Palace in the Premier League. However, the two parties have worked together before so if Roy Hodgson feels he can get something out of the player then good luck to him. He is unlikely to be missed by the Baggies faithful judging by these responses.
