COMMENTARY
As a goalkeeper the dream is to keep a clean sheet on your debut for a new club – so the nightmare must be conceding within minutes of your first appearance, which is exactly what happened to Lovre Kalinic at Aston Villa. It was only the second minute of the FA Cup clash against Swansea City before he was picking the ball out of his own net and it seems as though the fans on Twitter are not too hopeful he will be the answer to their struggles between the sticks. It might be the worst possible start but at least things can only get better for the player and the club. It does sound as though he has some way to go before impressing the Villa faithful though and the last thing he will want is pressure building on his shoulders from his first outing. A work in progress? Villa do not have time to let him make mistakes with a promotion push on the cards and so they should be grateful his debut came in the cup.

Kalinic at fault for that goal. Also Hogan should clear instead of trying to run with it through a Swansea player.

Not impressive half. Whelan totally pointless in there. Getting overrun everytime the have a go at us. Defence looking disorganized. Kalinic and O'Hare looking nervous. Hogan isnt Tammy. McGinn his usual self, trying to hold our midfield alone. Crosses completely pointless. #avfc
