COMMENTARY

Several Aston Villa players unperformed in the 2-2 draw with Queens Park Rangers but winger Albert Adomah bore the brunt of criticism from supporters. Some Villans supporters couldn’t believe how bad the 31-year-old played on Tuesday with one pointing out that he didn’t even have the luxury of blaming the festive fixture pile-up due to not playing much lately. Yet that wasn’t the harshest bit of criticism as one Aston Villa fan even pointed out that they had played against better footballers in the Power League and that comment alone showed how disappointing Adomah was against QPR. Nothing went right for the 31-year-old as he barely got on the ball and when did it find it as his feet, you wished the ball hadn’t found its way to him as he was wasteful. Dean Smith even opted to substitute Adomah in the 60th minute and it wasn’t by accident that Aston Villa looked better once the player had left the pitch. The veteran really needs to up his game in coming weeks other wise he is going to have to get use to sitting on the sidelines.
