Sky Sports journalist Michael Bridge has delivered his verdict after Leeds wonderkid Jack Clarke was linked with a move to the Premier League.

He even managed to get a mention of spygate in there too.

Bridge said, “A number of Premier League clubs are spy… sorry, looking at Jack Clarke from Leeds. Put it in the ‘no chance’ bracket this month but one of serious interest if Leeds don’t go up.”

Bridge delivered his take on the Clarke situation on his personal Twitter page on Friday afternoon.

OPINION

Jack Clarke has shot from the Under-23s into the mainstream media this week, with a number of Premier league clubs after him, and everyone from Gary Lineker and Sky Sports journalists having their say. Bridge has got this one spot on but his warning should be taken seriously by Leeds fans. If Leeds go up this season – as is looking very likely at the moment – then Clarke will be able to strut his stuff in the Premier League under Marcelo Bielsa. It’s a tantalising prospect. However, if they don’t go up then things could change very quickly. There’s every chance that they would lose him then, along with possibly Marcelo Bielsa too. That’s a frightening prospect for Leeds fans. One thing is certain though, there’s never a dull moment around Leeds since their maverick manager jetted in from Argentina. It’s already been a rollercoaster ride with more thrills than spills. And long may it continue.
