OPINION
Ewan Henderson was a surprise inclusion in Brendan Rodgers’ matchday squad, but he certainly impressed some Celtic fans when he came off the bench in the 4-0 win over St Mirren on Wednesday night. The 18-year-old had only made one senior appearance for the Bhoys before this week when he played against Kilmarnock at the end of last season, but he definitely looked like he was more than up for a permanent shift to the first team when he came off the bench. Henderson, the younger brother of ex-Celtic midfielder Liam, supplied a nice assist for Timothy Weah to score on his Scottish Premiership debut. Understandably, many Celtic fans were drooling over Henderson for his contribution, especially because he is a product of the club’s academy and could be a real star for the future. Hopefully he can continue getting into the first team squad but you can see him dropping out as soon as Tom Rogic is back from the Asian Cup and when Olivier Ntcham returns from injury.

Class tonight, great to see Burke get his goals, Weah looked sensational again when he came on, & good to see young Ewan Henderson get a run out, he looked really sharp, was very highly rated in the academy & can see why. HH ?? pic.twitter.com/5ipUehJlpR
