OPINION
Rangers’ signing of USA international Matt Polster has certainly got plenty of fans talking and of course, many of them are Celtic supporters. No one can sneeze at Ibrox without a Hoops fan offering their say on it on Twitter. Rangers announced via their official Twitter account on Wednesday that Polster, 25, has signed for the club, subject to international clearance, in what seems like quite a shrewd move by Steven Gerrard. Some Celtic fans seem baffled as to who he is, but they should really know he was one of two American trialists that had a chance to impress at Ibrox earlier in the season. Polster has now been signed while Andrew Gutman was reportedly heading to Celtic after failing to take his chance in Govan, but is yet to be announced as their player. Polster is definitely the better player out of the two and this is more than likely going to be a cheap, risk-free signing for Rangers. If he does become a “flop”, as one Hoops fan points out, then it won’t matter too much.
