OPINION
It is no surprise to see that West Bromwich Albion fans are excited by the signing of Everton defender Mason Holgate on loan. As reported on the club’s official website, the 22-year-old has joined the Baggies on a short-term loan deal until the end of the season, and will be eligible to play for the club in Saturday’s FA Cup clash against Wigan Athletic. This is a move which has been touted in the press over the past couple of days and it is good to see the Baggies have managed to get it over the line. Holgate is a talented young player who has already played many times for the Everton senior side, but has merely been unable to break through under new boss Marco Silva this season. Defence is obviously an area of concern for Darren Moore, so making a signing like this obviously makes a lot of sense. These fans below are obviously delighted, and so they should be.
