Tottenham are in the hunt to sign Fenerbahce wonderkid Eljif Elmas, according to Skopje24.
The Macedonian news outlet claims that Elmas, 19, as a release clause in his contract worth £20.5million and Spurs are interested in signing the versatile midfielder in the future.
It is understood that Real Madrid are preparing an offer worth £17.8million for the five-times Macedonia international, while Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund and Roma are also eyeing up the teenage ace.
Good move for Tottenham?
Elmas is not someone who will be very well known by most Tottenham fans, and that is no surprise as he has only recently become a regular in the Fenerbahce first team.
The 19-year-old has looked very impressive this season for the Turkish Super Lig giants, scoring his first goal for them in the 1-0 win against Konyaspor back in September.
Elmas can play on the wings or in the centre of the midfield, so it would be a nice idea to sign a highly-rated young player who is already quite versatile.
However Spurs are bound to have other priorities next year, and that should be to potentially replace players like Toby Alderweireld and Mousa Dembele, so they should not worry about Elmas and save themselves around £20million.

Likely to happen?
Although Elmas is a good young player and showing a lot of promise at Fenerbahce, Spurs are probably unlikely to sign him.
Real Madrid seem super interested in the midfielder judging by this report and if they don’t sign him, someone like PSG or Dortmund will more than likely beat Tottenham to the punch.
