OPINION
Alberto Moreno’s fourth appearance of the season for Liverpool generated plenty of negative feedback from supporters despite their side coming from behind to secure a 3-1 win at Burnley. With Andrew Robertson out injured and not even on the bench, former first choice left-back Moreno was handed his second league start of the campaign. He lasted 66 minutes before being withdrawn by Jurgen Klopp when the score was 1-1 and the match in the balance. Liverpool went all-out for the win and goalscorer James Milner took over at left-back. It was not lost on fans how the midfielder looked so much more at home than supposed specialist Moreno and his forays from out wide were integral to the team securing the three points. Many supporters claim that Moreno must go, with Milner providing adequate cover for main man Robertson. That might be a risk too far. Surely, Liverpool must recruit a replacement for Moreno before they offload him.

Milner was excellent at LB and should always be backup for Robertson. Moreno has totally lost it.

How awful was Moreno last night! Klopp basically had Milner playing in a left sided defence to help out Moreno so that he could bomb forward and support our two CF upfront!

I won’t lie tho, Moreno is a serious problem for this squad. A clear and obvious liability

Big 3 pts #LFC
Though #Moreno should never be in a red shirt again. Lads a liability.— stephen O C (@steveOc7) December 5, 2018

Can we please gift Moreno out during January transfer window ?#LFC

Gomez injury will determine whether Klopp needs to move in January itself or not. If it is serious and Moreno is also on his way out, Klopp should go for it in January. Clyne also looks like is ready to leave. If Klopp think Fabinho is there to cover then it’s a huge risk. #LFC

And he isn't a left back. Mad really just how terrible Moreno really is.

Never said I do. But I do watch the games. If Moreno, who's been awful every time he's played for us recently, was good enough to play Burnley, so was Clyne. He's been frozen out like Sakho and I don't get it, especially at a time when we could've used him to rest Gomez.
