OPINION
Danny Rose deserves huge credit for his performance in Tottenham’s 1-1 draw against Barcelona, and that is exactly what he has received from a section of the club’s supporters on Twitter. Rose was a constant menace to Barca down Spurs’ left-flank and could have even sealed the win when he blasted the ball over the bar in the final few minutes after Harry Kane’s amazing pass. However that was just one negative in what was a truly superb performance by the England international – and a lot of Spurs fans seem to agree. Ben Davies has been criticised a lot this season for his displays at left-back but it is now looking clear that Rose is Mauricio Pochettino’s best option for that position. If you can have a “9/10” or get called a “club legend” for a performance against Barcelona then you should be playing every week without fail. Hopefully Rose can just stay fit now and start having these displays on a regular basis.
