Steven Gerrard has named his side for his first Old Firm clash at Ibrox and fans are ecstatic to see Scott Arfield and Ryan Kent back in the starting line-up.

The team news was confirmed on the official Rangers Twitter page ahead of the 12.30pm kick-off.

Rangers are looking for their first win over Celtic in 14 games and their first in 90 minutes since they were demoted from the Premiership.

It’s a huge match for both sides but there’s more pressure on Rangers and Gerrard – a win for Celtic would see them with a six-point gap with a game in hand.

And Rangers fans are delighted to see Arfield and Kent back in the side. Kent has missed the last four league games and eight of the last nine. He’s been one of the best players for Gerrard in the first-half of the season and his attacking returns could be key today.

Arfield has been sidelined for the past two league games but makes his return today.

One Rangers fan called it a “Christmas miracle” while another said it was “absolutely massive” for them – and they’re hoping it’s enough to claim a huge three points at Ibrox today.
