Rangers will be looking to get straight their Premiership title challenge back on track against Dundee at Dens Park on Sunday, and Steven Gerrard must make four changes to his starting XI.

The Light Blues suffered a disappointing 1-0 loss to Aberdeen in midweek in a game which was further marred by Alfredo Morelos’ third red card of the season, which puts the Colombian out for three games.

Opponents Dundee may be sitting rock bottom of the table but they will be coming into this one with confidence after a huge 4-0 win over Hamilton last time out.

In goal, Allan McGregor must start as normal.

Two changes must come in defence, with Borna Barisic and Joe Worrall coming in for Jon Flanagan and Gareth McAuley respectively, while James Tavernier and Connor Goldson keep their places. This would be the 6’1″ Barisic’s first appearance since September after a troublesome calf complaint for the flyer [Transfermarkt].

A central midfield trio of Ovie Ejaria, Lassana Coulibaly and Ryan Kent must remain in place, with Scott Arfield unfortunately also suspended for this one after his red last weekend.

Another change must come on the flanks, with teenager Glenn Middleton axed in favour of Eros Grezda on the left, with Daniel Candeias lining up again on the right. Gerrard may be tempted to start Ryan Kent on his return from injury, but Grezda is in form and must be given another chance to impress.

The final switch obviously comes up front with Morelos suspended, meaning Kyle Lafferty must be selected in a straight swap.

This is a Rangers side which has more than enough to crush struggling Dundee and get their Premiership campaign back on track on Sunday.
