Robbie Savage has blasted Jordan Pickford after the Everton goalkeeper’s blunder gifted Liverpool the Merseyside derby win at Anfield on Sunday evening.
Pickford just had to see a harmless ball over the bar, but he somehow managed to put it back into play and straight to Divock Origi, who pounced on the loose ball to earn a 96th minute winner for the Reds.
Ex-Wales international Savage could not believe his eyes after a thrilling finish to the derby clash, but had to single out Pickford for being the man responsible for Everton’s defeat.
“Jurgen Klopp’s on the pitch…it’s all happening! Jordan Pickford…what are you doing?!” Savage said on BBC Radio 5 Live, as quoted on the BBC Sport website.
