OPINION
Jon Flanagan has not been anywhere near as good as Andy Halliday and Borna Barisic for Rangers this season, but Steven Gerrard is obviously trying to rotate his side after playing a big game just a few days ago against Hearts. Flanagan, 25, has not started that many Scottish Premiership games this season but the full-back is in to replace Halliday, who is clearly being rested. If Barisic was fit then you know for a fact that he would be playing and Gerrard is obviously gutted that he is unable to play the Croatian summer signing. Instead it’s Flanagan and Gers fans will have to suck it up. It’s no use raging about Gerrard’s decision now, especially as it has kind of been forced on him. One fan says it’s an “absolute disgrace” that the former Liverpool defender is starting but it’s good to see Gerrard keeping faith in his summer arrivals and not letting the punters have an impact on his decision-making.

Might be tired but a knackered Halliday is still better than bombscare Flanagan, he’ll cost us tonight

Still dont understand why Flanagan consistently gets picked over Halliday at left back, Hallidays not put a foot wrong all season
