Sky Sports pundit David Prutton has predicted that Leeds United’s winning run will come to a halt on Sunday afternoon when they travel to the West Midlands to take on Aston Villa.

Leeds are currently top of the Championship table and have picked up all 15 points out of all 15 available since their last visit to the Midlands when they were beaten 4-1 by West Brom.

And Prutton believes that Marcelo Bielsa and his side will struggle once again in the part of the country this weekend, by backing Villa to win 2-1 at Villa Park.

“What a game it should be at Villa Park as Dean Smith’s resurgent side aim to claw back some points on the Championship’s pace-setters,” said Prutton on the Sky Sports website.

“Despite all their injury problems Leeds keep winning, with Patrick Bamford returning to score their winner at Bolton last week. Marcelo Bielsa has built a real togetherness there but I just think this Villa side will edge it.”

OPINION

Is Prutton just trying to make himself not look that biased by going against his former side? Leeds will surely win this one. Aston Villa weren’t that great against Stoke last week and we really do not seem them beating Bielsa’s in-form side. Leeds are picking up wins without playing too well, but they will surely step it up a gear or two this weekend when they take on Villa. Dean Smith’s side is very poor defensively. Alan Hutton and Orjan Nyland have been liabilities for them in recent weeks, so expect Pablo Hernandez, Kemar Roofe and Patrick Bamford to have a field day. Leeds have some defensive issues, so both sides are likely to score, but the Yorkshire giants are bound to score more. We reckon that Leeds will return to Yorkshire with all three points after winning 3-1. Prutton won’t be showing any bias by backing the team that is currently top of the table.
