Newcastle United welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers to St. James’ Park for a Premier League clash on Sunday, and Rafa Benitez is expected to welcome back a key trio in four changes to his starting XI.

The Magpies come into this one on the back of a promising 1-1 draw against Everton at Goodison Park in midweek, with Salomon Rondon scoring his third Premier League goal of the season.

Opponents Wolves are riding a high after a famous come-from-behind 2-1 win over Chelsea at Molineux, with that victory snapping a six-game winless run for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.

In goal, Martin Dubravka is expected to retain his place.

Benitez is expected to revert to a back four in defence, with key star Paul Dummett returning from injury to replace Javier Manquillo, while Jamaal Lascelles, Federico Fernandez and DeAndre Yedlin retain their places.

The suspended Fabian Schar is expected to be replaced by Ayoze Perez, who is likely to play in front of a holding midfield duo of Ki Sung-yueng and Mohamed Diame.

Matt Ritchie and Kenedy are two more key players returning for the Magpies, and they are expected to replace Christian Atsu and Jacob Murphy on the flanks. Murphy, 23, put in a promising display against the Toffees but is still expected to be harshly axed from the starting side.

Rondon is expected to lead the line as usual.
