Son Heung-min has been called up to the South Korea squad for the 2019 Asian Games and Tottenham fans are not happy.
He won’t join up with them until after the game against Man United on January 13 but could then miss the rest of the month depending on how far South Korea go.
The news was posted on the official Tottenham Twitter page early on Thursday morning, after the 2-0 win against Arsenal in the Carabao Cup quarter-final
But that didn’t stop the Tottenham fans from flocking onto Twitter – it just brought them down from the high the night before.

International tournaments in the middle of a season are pretty disastrous for clubs.
Son is a hugely influential player for Tottenham and his goals, as back-up to Harry Kane, will be important if Tottenham are to keep a title charge alive.
He’s also set to miss the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final against Chelsea.
However, it could have been worse and a deal worked out with the club means he’s not joining them until the last game of the group stage and he’ll be around for the Man United game.

As the club released him to attend a tournament earlier in the season we should be able to say no this time!
