Tottenham Hotspur will need to sell on Vincent Janssen and Georges-Kevin N’Koudou if they want to seal a January deal for Hull City starlet Jarrod Bowen, according to The Sun.

The newspaper report that Spurs have been scouting the 22-year-old heavily in recent months and could potentially step up their pursuit with a £12million bid in the upcoming window.

The Sun claim that for that to happen they must first offload Janssen and N’Koudou to free up space in the squad, with both players having no future at the club under Mauricio Pochettino.

Good move for Spurs?

Yes, but it is not exactly a spectacular one.

Bowen is a serious talent, there is no doubt about that, with the Hull City winger netting 10 goals already this season for Nigel Adkins’ side.

However, Spurs should surely be looking to sign players of a higher quality if they want to have any chance of challenging for the Premier League title soon.

In terms of offloading Janssen and N’Koudou, that is a no-brainer though, with neither player having what it takes to make it at this level.

Likely to happen?

The most likely thing to happen here is the exits of N’Koudou and Janssen, both of whom are on the fringes at Spurs and show no sign of being able to break into Pochettino’s thinking.

Whether that will then lead to a move for Bowen is not clear, but Hull will not let their star leave lightly.
