Rejuvenated Tottenham Hotspur attacker Son Heung-min has made former Arsenal and Everton man Kevin Campbell’s Premier League Team of the Week.

The South Korean international was in superb form in Spurs’ 2-0 victory over Leicester City on Saturday night, scoring a marvellous goal to open the scoring.

And Campbell was clearly extremely impressed with the former Bayer Leverkusen star: “Heung-Min Son obviously scored another cracking goal and played really well,” he wrote on the Sky Sports website.

The 26-year-old, on a reported £140,000-per-week [Source: Spotrac], has rounded into form recently after a delayed start to the season due to international commitments.

OPINION

Campbell is bang on with his assessment of Son, here. The attacker has returned to his phenomenal best over the past month or so and is once again a vital part of Mauricio Pochettino’s side. He proved that once more against Leicester as he produced another scintillating performance. He looked lively throughout and, with Harry Kane rested on the bench, he shouldered the attacking burden and took the game by the scruff of the neck. Son has long been the player Tottenham turn to when Kane is given a rest or is injured and he showed why that’s the case with an excellent display against the Foxes. His goal was magnificent and ensured Spurs would be going home with all three points. He’s scored a few nice strikes recently and appears to be rounding into form at a vital point of the season for Tottenham. Pochettino will be thrilled with him, and Campbell was clearly impressed.
