talkSPORT pundit Simon Jordan believes that Tottenham defender Danny Rose should keep his mouth shut after complaining about playing at Wembley.

Rose fell out with Tottenham after giving a revealing interview to the Sun in the summer of 2017 where he criticised the club’s transfers and hinted at leaving.

He’s got himself back into the first-team as a regular but made the headlines again this week when he said that playing at Wembley was not enjoyable and that he wanted Tottenham to open the new stadium as soon as possible.

Talking on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast Show, Jordan warned Rose that he wasn’t making things any better for his club.

“I’ve got to be interested, I’m not really interested in what Danny Rose says,” Jordan said.

“Sometimes he spends more time at Speakers Corner than he does on the training ground or on the pitch.

“He seems to have far too much to say for himself and most of it isn’t very productive.

“Not a huge admirer as he spends too much time complaining about what he hasn’t got or what he doesn’t think is right and he needs to focus on being a top footballer, which he is.”

OPINION

Danny Rose was only saying what all Tottenham fans have been moaning about themselves on Twitter. It does seem weird hearing it from a player though. It’s certainly not going to help the situation that Tottenham are doing their best to manage. Does Danny Rose think that they’re not doing everything they can to get into their new stadium as quickly as possible. You’d think Rose would have learned his lesson from the last big interview that he gave to the newspapers. This isn’t that serious but it shows that he’s got a propensity to think before he speaks and that’s never a good trait in a professional footballer. Rose has got himself back into Pochettino’s good books and he’s back in the Spurs first-team. Every single player will be glad to see the back of Wembley. It just doesn’t need to be said in public and Rose should do his talking on the pitch.
