Newcastle United midfielder Mo Sangare has confirmed on social media site Instagram that wants to leave the club on loan.

During a Q&A with his followers on his personal profile, the 19-year-old answered a question which read “are you looking to go on loan?”, which he responded with a single word reply of “yeah”.

The 6ft 3in [Chronicle] midfielder stars for the under-21s, and recently helped the side secure a victory over Macclesfield Town in mid week after scoring the winning penalty in a 1-1 draw in the Checkatrade Trophy.

OPINION

Many Newcastle fans will not be fully aware of midfielder Mo Sangare, but he is regarded as an up and coming prospect – especially after his performance in mid week against Macclesfield. Taking the final penalty that can win a match is no doubt a lot of pressure, especially for someone as young as Sangare – so the fact he was able to cope with it so calmly is a testament to his character. He is a tall midfielder, something which can give him advantage over the opposition – an attribute which he demonstrated earlier in the week. However, it is not surprising that he wants to go out on loan – what player would not want a taster of first team senior football? He is clearly talented enough to handle the step up, so it is in Newcastle’s hands to decide what his fate will be. Yes, admittedly he is not going to get into the first team at United any time soon – the likes of Mo Diame, Ki Sung-Yueng, Jonjo Shelvey and Isaac Hayden are currently in his path – but there is no harm in him getting the experience he needs to be an even better player.
