COMMENTARY
One area that Newcastle United have always been blessed with when it comes to quality players has been goalkeepers and that tradition has carried on in the shape of Martin Dubravka. The Toon Army were left head over heels with his performance against Everton in a display which saw the 6’3″ (source: Transfermarkt) giant pull off some brilliant saves to ensure the Magpies sealed a point. He has quickly established himself into a firm favourite at St James’ Park, with many dubbing him one of the best goalkeepers ever to grace Tyneside – and he has not been been there a year. There are so many redeeming features, from his excellent communication, brilliant shot stopping ability and commanding presence in the box, that it is easy to see why Rafael Benitez moved for his capture in January. Jordan Pickford – who was culpable for Everton’s defeat to Liverpool – was also in great form, so was this the battle of the best two goalkeepers outside the top five? David De Gea and Rui Patricio might have something to say about that, but the argument is there to be had.

Not being funny but if that Kepa is worth 70 million, Dubravka is worth 100
