It is no secret that Everton are severely lacking on the striker front and Marco Silva is no doubt casting one eye on the January transfer window.

With Cenk Tosun currently firing blanks and Richarlison being used as a substitute forward, the Toffees are in desperate need of a frontman who can deliver the goods on a regular basis.

They should look no further than Club Brugge attacker Wesley Moraes.

According to the Sun, Arsenal have joined the race for his signature, but Everton must make it their priority to battle it out for his services too.

In fact, he could be the answer to their problems in this area and get the club’s goal tally to a healthy figure once again.

He has netted ten goals in 23 appearances already this season which is a rather promising return for a player who is only 22 – and he managed to score 12 last term.

24 goals in two seasons so far is quite impressive, so Silva would be crazy not to sign a player full of so much potential – after all, him arriving at Goodison Park would allow Richarlison to revert back to his role on the left-wing, which is where the majority of his goals have come from.

He would fit in perfectly with Everton’s starting XI and he would most certainly be guaranteed regular game time – and he has the potential to become a firm fan favourite if he makes the move.

Supporters have been crying out for a decent talisman ever since Wayne Rooney left for America and Moraes could just be that player.

What’s more, the report states that Arsenal are weighing up a £15 million move for the Brazilian ace – a price tag that director of football Marcel Brands would ensure the club are more than capable of meeting.

Silva needs to deliver what the fans are after – as it may just transform Everton’s season in a heartbeat.
