Everton and Leeds United are among a number of clubs in the hunt to sign £10million-rated Hull City attacker Jarrod Bowen, according to the Mirror.

The newspaper claimed via their live transfer blog on Sunday [08:32am] that Tottenham and Brighton have also shown an interest by scouting the 22-year-old winger, who has been in superb form at the KCOM Stadium this season.

Bowen scored twice in Hull’s 2-0 win against Leeds at Elland Road on Thursday, and after the game Tigers manager Nigel Adkins admitted that although he doesn’t want to sell the ex-Hereford ace, there is some uncertainty over his future.

“Jarrod Bowen has scored two great goals,” said Adkins, as quoted by the Mirror.

“We’re not looking to sell. The owners have said we don’t need to. However, we all know what football can be like.

“Jarrod has scored 14 last season, he’s got 10 this season. He’s a young English player who’s exciting and has got flair. Who knows what will happen?”

Good move for Everton?

Bowen has been in top form for Hull this season, scoring 10 goals in 24 Championship appearances for the Humberside club.

He is only 22-years-old, he is English and according to the Mirror, he is only valued at £10million.

Everton have a lot of attacking options in their squad but there has been constant speculation surrounding the future of Ademola Lookman at Goodison Park, so maybe if he goes, Marco Silva would be wish to replace him with another exciting young English talent in Bowen.

It would be a great piece of business by the Toffees.

Likely to happen?

At the moment nothing seems as though it will happen in the January transfer window unless a concrete bid is tabled for Bowen.

Even then, Hull may play hardball and put off cashing in on the 22-year-old until the summer.

Bowen shouldn’t leave Hull unless he can guarantee first team football, and only Leeds and Brighton are probably the only teams that could offer him that.

Everton will not be able to so it could be a move that stalls his development.
