Brendan Rodgers is expected to make just one change to his starting line-up ahead of Celtic’s clash against Rangers at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon.

Tom Rogic will miss the game as he is due to join up with the Australia squad to prepare for the upcoming Asian Cup in the UAE, so that means that 6ft 2 (transfermarkt) ace Odsonne Edouard is likely to return to the side after his stunning display off the bench against Aberdeen on Boxing Day.

Edouard, 20, was on the pitch for just 20 minutes but managed to spark the Hoops into life with a superb goal and an assist for one of Scott Sinclair’s goals in the 4-3 win at Pittodrie.

Craig Gordon is likely to start in goals behind an unchanged back-four of Mikael Lustig, Dedryck Boyata, Filip Benkovic and Emilio Izaguirre at left-back as Kieran Tierney remains a doubt.

Scott Brown and Callum McGregor could take up the deeper-lying midfield roles with Aussie mainstay Rogic ruled out of the game.

James Forrest and Sinclair are expected to take up their usual positions on the wings with Ryan Christie in the middle as the number 10.

Edouard has scored 14 goals in 31 total appearances this season and with Leigh Griffiths taking an extended leave of absence, the Frenchman is pretty much nailed-on to start the Old Firm clash.
