OPINION
At least these Aston Villa fans can make a joke about this. Jack Grealish will miss this weekend’s clash against Stoke with a shin injury he sustained in the draw at West Brom last week, and it was only really a matter of time before the £34,000-a-week (Sun) player was sidelined because of his ridiculous decision to wear toddlers’ shin pads. It really is crazy that Dean Smith, nor any previous Villa manager, has told Grealish to wear proper shin pads. Not only does it look ridiculous but it is also endangering him, especially as he is the most fouled player in the Championship this season. Some Villa fans have taken a light-hearted approach to his injury, but what if Stoke win this weekend and Grealish would have been available if he wears proper adult shin pads? We’ll never know, obviously, but that will be a suggestion made. Smith should really have a word with the attacker.
#avfc Jack Grealish is out of Saturday's game with Stoke. Dean Smith: "He's got a shin injury, he won’t be available for Saturday,
He’ll have another test tomorrow and hopefully he’ll be available for the Christmas period."— Gregg Evans (@greggevans40) December 13, 2018

Judging by Smiths conference, seems Grealish injury possibly not as bad as some expected #AVFC
