COMMENTARY
These Villa fans seem rather impressed with Tuanzebe’s performance against Bolton, and it is easy to see why. The 20-year-old England youth international was a rock at the back alongside Chester on Friday, putting in arguably his best performance for the club since joining on loan in January. His talent has always been clear to see at Villa Park but that has not always manifested itself in his performances for the club, though that has started to change in recent weeks. Tuanzebe is finally getting a run of games in his preferred position at centre-back – former boss Steve Bruce tended to play the youngster out wide on the right – and that decision is paying dividends for new manager Smith. There is no doubt that Tuanzebe and Chester should be the starting pair at centre-back for the Villans now, with the duo forming a good understanding together, with Friday’s performance illustrating that.

Nice to see Chester more like his normal self tonight & Tuanzebe just gets better by every passing game. #avfc

Odd game tonight, didn’t take the game as much as I was hoping. The 2nd goal was crucial. But, there is definitely signs of Dean Smiths work starting to show! Another solid performance from Axel Tuanzebe too. #AVFC

James Chester was solid tonight, Jack Grealish is getting back to his best. Tuanzebe is looking the part at CB. We're starting to look fitter. Much work still to be done, but we're pointing in the right direction

Tuanzebe is fantastic at CB, I'll be surprised if he isn't starting for United at some point next season, he's that good. #avfc

That was as comfortable as I’ve felt at Villa Park for a long time. JT’s magic dust has been sprinkled all over Tuanzebe. And that Bolasie cameo ? @AVFCOfficial #AVFC #UTV #VTID

Both Chester and Tuanzebe faultless tonight. Superb. @JackGrealish1 ran the show again, looking back to his best??
Lots to work on but positive strides in the right direction. #avfc pic.twitter.com/H10xRD17W3

Steve Bruce actually preferred Jedinak at CB to Tuanzebe??? deserved the bin for that alone. The bloke is pure class. Good win tonight, we're getting better. #avfc

Tuanzebe. The boy is an absolute baller. God only knows what Bruce (a CB) didn’t see in him. No coincidence Chezzy is finding form again. #avfc
