A section of Tottenham fans have bizarrely slammed Ben Davies for his performance in the 3-1 win against Chelsea at Wembley on Saturday. Even though it was Spurs’ best performance of the season by a long way, some supporters decided that Davies did not play enough, with one even calling the Wales international a “massive weak link” in Mauricio Pochettino’s side. Now, Davies’ form hasn’t been great this season but he did nothing wrong against Chelsea. In fact, all of Pochettino’s men put in great performances in a game that showed that Spurs are a team to take seriously this season. Other fans will struggle to take Tottenham seriously if their fans are having a go at players like Davies, who is obviously just a scapegoat and someone for people to moan about when there is nothing to get upset over. Davies is still a very left-back, he won’t stop every cross in the world, and Spurs are very lucky to have him.
