OPINION
Rangers got an early boost in their Europa League group G on Thursday, ahead of their crucial clash with Villarreal.
Spartak Moscow were winning 1-0 at home, which would have put them top.
However, Rapid Vienna stunned the home side with two late goals to throw the group wide open.
Rapid Vienna are now top of the group and Rangers bottom, but that could all change tonight.
A win will take Rangers top and put them on the brink of qualification but a draw would actually be okay now.
It would mean they would still have control of their own destiny and a win against Rapid Vienna in the last group game would send them through.
Tonight will be tough. Villarreal are a good outfit, with players like former Arsenal man Santi Cazorla but Rangers will have the Ibrox crowd behind them and are more than capable of springing a shock of their own.
Vienna beat Spartak 2-1.
What an incentive!!!

We should of took 6 points off Spartak, looks like Vienna will be all or nothing but it means tonight a draw is a good result.

Think this is the scenario Rangers are now in…
Lose tonight – need to beat Rapid and hope Spartak don’t beat Villarreal.
Draw tonight – need to beat Rapid.
Win tonight – need to draw/beat Rapid.— Scott Gordon (@scottgordon89) November 29, 2018
