Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos sent out a three-word tweet on Monday morning that Rangers fans are absolutely loving.

Their top scorer said, ‘Mon the Gers’ and added red, white and blue emojis, plus the Colombia flag and a buffalo.

This comes on the back of the 7-1 win on Sunday against Motherwell where Morelos added another goal to his tally.

He now has seven goals in 12 league games and is looking better than he’s ever looked before.

COMMENTARY
Morelos seems to have stepped up a gear under Steven Gerrard this season and he’s starting to look every inch the striker that was attracting big-money bids from China among other places last summer. This tweet is brilliant as well. The Rangers fans have taken him to their hearts and stuff like this will only cement their relationships. Simple, direct and to the point. And very funny too. Well played Alfredo. It’s been a season of ups and downs so far for Gerrard, but the results on Sunday move Rangers to within two points of Celtic at the top. And Celtic aren’t looking invincible at all this season. Things could have been very different too if Morelos had been available for selection in the Scottish Cup semi-final. He has to make sure that he doesn’t miss any more crucial games through ill discipline and the good times could be back at Ibrox.
