COMMENTARY
These Tottenham fans are obviously delighted for their midfield star, who has received just reward for his form in recent weeks. Sissoko’s transformation has been a joy to watch as the experienced midfielder finally finds his feet at Tottenham after a two-and-a-half years. There was a lot of scepticism which greeted his signing after Spurs paid Newcastle £30million for his services in 2016, and Sissoko slowly became a whipping boy for abuse from the club’s fanbase. His lack of confidence was so evident in his performances, and you wondered if he was ever going to come good in north London. Those questions have been answered this season as Sissoko has become a key player for Mauricio Pochettino in midfield, with his energy and pace giving them an extra dimension in that area. A much-needed patch of consistency has also helped his cause as he endears himself to the Spurs faithful which previously derided him.
I never doubted the guy. ? https://t.co/GkLd3JaRKq
